Taking A Break…..

Hi Folks!

I am just popping on to say I have decided to take a break from card making and blogging for a while.

Sadly I have also stepped down from my DT’s as I feel I am not giving them the time they deserve.

I have lost my mojo and blogging spark quite a while ago I think and life has finally taken over I’m afraid…

I’m not sure when or if I will be back but no doubt I will sneak back at some point!! LOL

I AM still going to do features for Inspirational and I will continue blog hopping searching out those gorgeous creations and visiting you quietly behind the scenes!!

Brrrr! Well it’s officially cold! Yup even the Furries are having a huddle!!

There has been no let up and even more snow overnight and it’s been two weeks since my car saw the light of day! Emigrating is looking like a possible option!!!

Morning! OMG we have had loads more snow overnight, we thought we were getting a bit of a thaw yesterday but I did notice we had more ice later on yesterday night so now it’s even more dangerous as fresh snow has fallen on top. It’s a bit of a nightmare now, I am honestly going stir crazy….

Morning peeps! Still snowed under up here and am so sick of it now. My car hasn’t seen the light of day since last Wednesday then to top it all I fell on my butt outside my garage whilst taking out the recycling boxes – I got up faster than I went down I can tell ya! I’m sure I saw some curtains twitching and a faint sound of laughter!!!

So while over at Terrie’s blog I found a newish challenge blog called Lets Craft and Create.

The Craft Barn Tutorials and Wishing Well

Morning peeps! OMG it is a bloomin white out up here – total blizzard weather and I HATE it!!!!!!

Today over at The Craft Barn blog there is a step by step PDF to make some paper flowers I used on my card below. Some of the other DT ladies have come up with gorgeous projects using flowers. There are lots of exciting things to come from the Craft BArn – Isa and Sandy have been squirreling away behind the scenes and keeping us on our toes coming up with some great ideas so do hop over and check everything out.

Remember folks there is also a wishing well and your wish may well and truly be granted by one of the super talented DT.

I used Bo Bunny Xmas paper distressed with the Tim Holtz distressing tool. The stamp is from Crafty Individuals and you can buy it from the Craft BArn HERE. I added some gunmetal stickles to my flowers and punched out some leaves. The frame is from Nestabilities Eyelet Squares also available HERE.

Hi folks! Well I have been squirreling away making Xmas cards today, I have been asked to make some cards for a gift shop in a near by village, the lady called me yesterday and said quite a few of my recent cards had sold and could I make a few Xmas cards for her so that’s what I’ve been doing most of the day. I have also got to make some gift card holders so it’s going to be quite busy for me in the next few weeks.

Well another week has come and gone and so fast too! Have to go back to work tomorrow so not looking forward to that!

Hi Folks! Well it feels like I have been absent from blogland for ages, I have just been coasting along really, it feels like ages since I did a challenge in fact I can’t remember when I last entered one!! How bad is that! I haven’t had time to visit hardly anyone either but now – Fingers crossed I will get back on track!! I really need to catch up with all the gorgeous cards I have been missing and also catch up with that elusive Mr Mojo!

Anyway took some photos today of my new craft room – I’m really pleased with what my cousin has done! Sorry about all the photos but it’s so difficult to get everything in!!! LOl

So I made a couple of cards today too!! A lady at work asked me to make them for her so hopefully she will like them! I always find it difficult making cards for people never knowing if they REALLY like them or not!! EEK!

Craft Room Update

Evening! Well I have been packing up the old craft stuff yet again. My cousin is coming to make a start on the crafty space tomorrow so it’s all been moved into the spare room. Still got some furniture to move. I can’t wait to get it organised although still have to look out for storage so any ideas please let me know! I did get some great plastic storage stacks on wheels from Lidls at a really great price.

So no cardage from me over the next week or so, mind you there hasn’t been much of late anyway!!!

I’ve just been driving myself mad trying to find stuff, moving paper and boxes around searching for this and that.

Anyway peeps off to watch The World Cup!

Craft Barn Cards, Competition and Some Pictures!

Long Post Alert!!!

Afternoon from a wet and windy Scotland, boy has the weather changed. Just popping on quickly in between the Tennis – Vamos Rafa!!!! LOL

Here are a couple of cards using my new DT pack from The Craft Barn.

I used this cute Stamping Bella Stamp called “Chloe the Coffee Mug Girl”, Sandy has an amazing range of Stamping Bellas available HERE.

I decoupaged the mug and coloured her with Pro Markers.

Added some glitter hearts and a rub on. In the corner I used these Personal Impressions Flourishes 1 also available at The Craft Barn HERE.

These stamps are just the cutest they are by Personal Impressions from their Nitwit Collection called Noah’s Ark, wonderful to colour.

I also used my new best friends Martha Stewart Glitters in Bubble Gum, they are just gorgeous. I sprinkled some around the Noah’s Ark lettering but you can’t see it so good in the picture but it IS lovely and sparkly. I finished off with BAby Rub Ons and some pink pearls.

Well I thought I’d share some Garden Photos, it’s great to finally have one after years of living in a flat and I have really enjoyed getting down and dirty in the mud!!!LOL. My mum is a green finger lady so has helped me a lot with what to buy as regards to plants and shrubs.

I also have some feathered friends but they are eating me out of house and home. They have gone through 8 fat balls and a suet slab in a day and a half. There have been fights, pecking and feathers flying!! What HAVE I started!! It’s beginning to look like a scene from Alfred Hitchcocks The Birds!!! LOL

Wimbledon starts tomorrow Yipeeee!! Can’t wait to see the lovely Rafa on top form. What about the World Cup too, so much controversy and surprises, the French I believe have now gone on strike, and England are having crisis talks tonight – Eeeeh I don’t know what to make of it all!!

What a day so far, have had major camera problems so was late uploading my SCD twinchie and of course my whole post is late!! Grrr..

Then poor Pepsi was sick and I jammed my finger in the door – Oooouch!!! Och never mind that’s three things now so hopefully it’s over for today anyway!!! LOL

Morning!! Well I have attempted a card in the battle field I could call a Craft Room, I spent half the time searching for stuff – Grrr!! AND the two furry rogues have been so bad lately, scraping at doors, getting lost in cupboards and they are prowling all night and waking me up!!

Back At Last with Something Completely Different……!

Wheee!! It’s been a nightmare move!! but have managed to get on line at last, the house is like a bomb site and the “craft room” is a dumping ground and can’t find a bloomin’ thing!! Still loads to do and in between all this I have got a new job working in a Dental Surgery so start there on the 31st May – All change again!!

So on to this weeks SCD Challenge and we have a fab talented Guest Designer – Artyjen… Our theme this week was chosen by yours truly – PARIS, never been but maybe one day. We are still on twinchies (2” x 2”) so can’t wait to catch up with you all AND we also have some candy to give away too. The cute Popcorn Bear stamps donated by the lovely ARtyjen.

It’s our birthday month over at SCD too – 1 year old on the 15th – Can’t believe it’s been a whole year since Carol started the wonderful blog, and thanks to you all who have made it fun and continue to join us every week.

The Craft Barn Competition is now up and running on the blog - it continues for the next 3 weeks and will help you to create a mini album using sketches designed by Isabelle, there will be samples for each page done by Isa, Chris, Poupette and Sandy from The Craft BArn Blog DT. Join in and as well as making a mini album you can also win £30 of products. Here is a little wotsit that you can put on your blog if you want to play along. OOh just think of all that lovely stash available to win!!

Here are the rules:

HOW DO I ENTER?

All you have to do is to make your own mini album following the sketches:
9 sketches in all
- 1 for the front cover (today)
- 8 more for the inner pages
- no sketch for the back cover. This will be up to you.
You can post your pages on your blog everyday, as you go along, or you can wait until you have made the whole mini album and post it on your blog then.
Whichever way you do it, the link you will give us (by May 15th) will have to be a post on your blog where we can see the **whole mini album** in one click. It will be much easier for us to check all the entries.

HOW TO USE THE SKETCHES?

Use the sketches as a 'starting point' for your pages. You can add more embellishments if you want, turn a photo if it looks nicer, use rub-ons instead of stamps for the backgrounds... As long as each page looks like the sketch, it will work.

We don't want you to miss out if you don't have a blog so you can still enter the competition without a blog but please follow these guidelines otherwise Isabelle will lose the will to live!

Morning! Friday again and where has this week gone, time is just flying by and not much blogging from me lately, so much going on with the new house, trying desperately to get moved in real soon!!! (Not soon enough for my liking though!!!)

So this weeks challenge over at SCD is still our open theme and we are using the letter “D” this week, so you can incorporate the letter D into your project any way you like.

Morning Folks! Boy! have we had some great weather these last few days, a bit cloudy today though but spring is definitely here…

Hope the sun is shining for you today, it certainly is here!! The daffodils and crocuses are out. Will have to plan my garden planting for next year. This is the first house I’ve had with a garden so looking forward to that!

Morning….and yaaay we have a sunny spring like day up here, it’s wonderful to see some sun after all that snow..

Well I’ve been browsing the Sunday Challenges and have made a card for Winter Wonderland whose theme is Monochromatic so another white card, can’t seem to step away from white at the moment.

I stamped this gorgeous Serendipity Stamp and divided it into circles using my Nesties, Used the cuttlebug for the bottom of the card, added some glitter, ribbon, pearls and pins.

Afternoon folks, had to do a double take there still thought it was Morning!! Wow where does the time go, feels like I have just got up!!

Now I haven’t done a Penny Black Challenge for such a long time, so I dug out my Penny Black “CityScape” stamp and made a new home card using the fabby sketch they have this week.

Did some embossing and layering, added a border using Making Memories stamp and finally small pearls.. et Voila!!! LOL

Papertake Weekly - Sketch 34

Another great sketch over at Papertake Weekly Challenge.

This little image is from Stamping Bella called Ivy Ketto, available at The Craft Barn HERE coloured with Pro Markers. I am really loving these little stamps. The papers are Basic Grey Marrakech and I used my trusty Martha Stewart border punch.

Well has the weather turned a corner, feeling a bit spring like here today and the nights are certainly getting a bit lighter. Wow and the sun has just come out too!

Peaches spotted another cat in the garden today, the first "other" cat she has seen. Well the tail went out like a bush and she was transfixed. There was a stare off and of course Peaches is an indoor cat so couldn't actually do anything but her eyes were as wide as saucers. Bless!!

Basic Grey Challenges

Hello from a dull and grey Scotland!

Could hardly get a decent photo today for this wonderful sketch by Martine over at Basic Grey Challenges.

I have used BG Porcelain papers and the cute Charlotte Ketto stamp from Stamping Bella available at The Craft Barn HERE. She is coloured with Distress Inks for a change!!

Flowers and the beautiful brown and pearl centre are from Prima also from The Craft Barn. Lace is from my local craft shop and the leaves are Leone Em Punches.

Have had a lovely relaxing "quiet" weekend but the parents are due back soon so my peace will be shattered!!! LOL!!

It's been a while since I did a layout so I thought it's be great to do one, bit rusty mind you but here are the Furries sharing a cuddly moment!!! It is actually 12 x 12 but looks smaller in the photo!!

Our snow has all gone - How long for who knows! Parents are away this weekend so have the house to myself she says skipping from room to room!~!~LOL

I think a relaxing weekend is called for and might squeak out a card if the Craft Mood takes me!!

I also have an entry date for my house move - 5th March - Yaaay!! Don't think I will move exactly on that date as I have a few things I want doing first but at least I can get organised.. EEEK not looking forward to doing it all again!!!

Wow another week has gone and here we are Friday again which means time for another Something Completely Different Challenge.

We are riding the Magic Carpet!!

So another year has gone and here we are with another One World One Heart event. Organised by the lovely Lisa.

It all kicks off today and my giveaway will end on 15th February at 1pm GMT.

I took part in last year's event and it was brilliant. I had the best time and my winner of my giveaway last year remains a friend to this day.

So what is OWOH - Well Lisa started this huge event in 2007 - A meeting of minds, talent and fellow bloggers.
