Colour Create meets Cute Card Thursday!

Well I couldn’t lie in my bed any longer, I feel I might be over the worst of the flu bug so decided to make a card for Colour Create whose theme is Red, Black and Off White and Cute Card Thursday have a Ribbon-Tastic Day!!

Mmm don’t know what to make of it really, that punched strip kinda reminds me of a pair of false eyelashes!!! LOL Not one of my better ideas!! Aah Well C’est la Vie!!

Cute Card Thursday..

This is a late posting , I have such a lot on just now and have been a bad blogger too. Hoping to visit my bloggy buddies this weekend and catch up with y'all!!

Cute Card Thursday this week is all about Bling so I have just finished my card using some cute decoupage and my new stamps from Inkadinkado, I love their stamps.

Well it's supposed to be hot, hot, hot tomorrow so we'll see! We just get too much of the sea breeze being on the coast then we get fog if it's been hot in the day....

Well this is my last week as Guest Designer on Cute Card Thursday - Thanks to Deb and the lovely ladies over there for having me!!!

Now the theme this week is all about letters and numbers, we want to see them on your creations..

Cute Card Thursday - Happy Mail

Morning Folks!

Sorry for the lack of blogging recently but this cold or perhaps now Hay Fever is driving me mad....

Well I am honoured to be a Guest Designer for Cute Card Thursday for the next two weeks - Yaaaay! They are a super bunch of talented ladies to say the least. It's a happy happy theme this week - Make a card to cheer someone up or make their day - No hard task as we all can do with a bit of cheering up now and then.

Have any of you heard of Post Pals well CCT received this E-mail from Vikki.

Here are the details:

I run Post Pals, we feature seriously ill children (most have cancer or are going through transplants) and their siblings on our website www.postpals.co.uk and invite members of the public to log on from around the world and send a card to a child. The aim is to make the child smile, but we have found it also helps their self esteem and parents often open them with a child during a procedure to distract them.
At the moment we are helping 120 children but they aren't getting much post.
I was wondering if you would do a challenge, instead of people just scanning in their card for the theme but they actually make one for a Post Pal child and send it off.
I can't begin to tell you how much receiving a card means when your ill and isolated.

What an absolutely brilliant cause, how great to be able to make any of these children smile even for just a minute..

Cute Card Thursday - Floral Fantasy

Evening Folks!!

Another busy day at work then got home a bit late after queuing for bloomin' ages in the local shop!!

Got in only to find my washing strewn all over the floor - Yup!! Those two furry monkeys had a field day with my washing - they'd pulled it all down and had rummaged among it - smalls included!! LOL Now it has to be washed all over again and de furred!!! Oh! I could have seen them far enough - it's a wonder Kath didn't hear me in Westhills!!! This is turning in to a bit of a habit they must get bored when I'm out and think "What can we do now!!!" - Grrr!!

So had to destress somehow and as we all love our flowers just had to have a go at the Cute Card Thursday Challenge which was Floral Fantasy!!

The flower I stamped and paper pieced with two different papers, added leaves and seed beads to the middle. Stamped my swirls and added butterflies with some more seed beads.

This week on Cute Card Thursday it's all about Citrus Colours - Mmmm!!

Think I might have gone overboard on the citrus front!! LOL

I used this cute decoupage image and for the life of me can't remember who by - I know it's got Patchwork in the title somewhere - How terrible is that - I only bought it the other week!! I do so enjoy decoupage and really hope it makes a big come back - there are more and more cutey images popping up. Especially the FF ones and the Daisy and Dandelion ...

Everything else was from my stash - I am using up these freebie papers like nobody's business!!! LOL

The pesky flowers just wouldn't stick to that ribbon though - I was having a bit of a hissy fit if truth be told and they are still not stuck!!!!! Grrr!!

Still feel crappy but going in to work - cannot take another day off. See y'all later!!!

Cute Card Thursday

Morning Folks!

Can't believe it's only 11am and I have a card done already!!

Really wanted to take part in Cute Card Thursday - I just haven't had enough time lately - so today was the day!!!

The theme this week is "Family Affair". Make a card for a member of your family. My dad's birthday is next month so I'm going to be well prepared.

I love these cute Puss Cats!! No surprises there!! They are coloured with watercolours.

Well heading off to work now - Ta raaaa!!

Animals Galore!!

Charisma Challenges and Cute Card Thursday both have Animals as their theme.

I got this elegant and sleek Puss from Dawny P this week - she knows me well - Me being the mad cat lover that I am!!! LOL

I've decided it's a lady Puss!!

Coloured her with watercolours and some glitter and of course no self respecting lady puss can be without a diamante collar and a touch of glitter!!! Well I kept the card sleek and streamlined too.

Create a Scene....

This is the theme this week at Cute Card Thursday - I enjoy this kind of challenge and the Magnolia stamps are ideal for this - So here is Tilda with Rufus relaxing in a little wooded area!

They are all coloured with watercolours and cosmics.

Added mulberry paper for the "bush" and K&Co felt flowers, leaves and ladybugs - aren't they so cute!! The little butterfly in the corner was coloured with cosmics, I then added 3 little beads and some wire.

Finally added some more flowers and stickles to finish.

Well good Afternoon Crafters!!!! LOL

I'm full of the joys today - unsure why really!! got up really early and got stuck in to my first card of the day, I think I feel like crafting!!! He He!! Mind you have faffed about a bit on it, not too happy with the colouring background but I'm getting there - maybe one day it will all look good!! If anybody hasn't seen Chris's fantastic colouring tutorial you really need to - it's brilliant!

Chris has inspired me no end to try different colouring! Click HERE to watch.

So this week over at CCT we have to use something we got at Xmas, I have used my new gorgeous green and gold ribbon - (mental note to get some more) that Santa (i.e. ME!!!) brought straight from the shop along the road!!

I have made a conscious effort to try and make my cards more simpler with cleaner edges etc, although I will still make the add a bit here and a bit there cards too!!

This little froggy I got from my lovely bloggy buddy Amanda - he is sooo cute and I loved colouring him. I used watercolours and coloured him very roughly and the background too then added glossy accents so he looks a bit wet but you can't see it in the photos. The flowers were coloured with Sakura pens. I then layered him on to Bazzill and added two embossed panels at the side . Two little brads to finish and Mr Froggy is done!!

Cute Card Thursday has an open theme this week and Forever Friends Challenge has a Christmas Carol theme...

Well today my lovely bloggy buddy Emma sent me a cute card and some FF images so of course I couldn't resist colouring them up..

I used water colours and Sakura pens to colour the sweet bears.

The papers are from my stash and also Basic Grey Wassail and Sandylion.

I cut the bear from one of the Xmas 6x6 sheets whichthe lovely Tina sent me last week and stuck him to the bottom. Used my nesties to cut a rectangle from the Wassail paper and a label from Bazzil.

Cute Card Thursday has a RED and GREEN theme - This was my first visit to this challenge..

Used one of my H'Anglar images from LIM coloured with my trusty watercolours - I don't know why but I love using these kinds of colours for painting...

The card stock is Core'dination and the scroll paper is from The Paper Co, I used BG Wassaill for one of the layers and embossed it with my Cuttlebug dot folders then highlighted with stickles.

Added two decorative border strips and teeny pearls.

The rafia and giant button is from my stash - in fact the button is quite old, my mum had it for years and I snaffled it!!! Shhh!!
