A Spoonfull of Sugar!

Well it's another fine day up here in sunny Scotland!! LOL - Sunny Scotland!! Who am I trying to kid!! It will be sunny for all of half an hour more like!

Just back from town - it looks a bit desolate in the town centre now that our Woolies has closed, but managed to steer clear of my crafty haunt!!!
So on to todays challenge for A Spoonfull of Sugar - Paper Piecing!!

I used the really cute stamp I got from Sue from Bootifulstampz from her One A DAy Giveaway a couple of months ago - It's Maggie with flowers! Isn't she a cutey pie!
I paper-pieced her 'lil shorts, flower pot and flowers then coloured the rest with watercolours

I got some great watercolour paper from Ebay so this was my first time using it - such a difference for colouring when you have good WC paper.

I die cut some circles with my Nesties and used my piece of tablecloth I got from my friend Sabina - it really is great stuff as one of the layers. Punched lots of little flowers and layered them up adding a star gem in the centre.

Stamped my sentiment and added three more gem stars to finish.

A Spoonfull of Sugar

This week they have a sketch at A Spoonfull of Sugar.
My card is for a special little girl this Xmas....

I used Sandylion Papers the image I got from my friend and is A Me to You Bear aren't they just as cute as can be! Coloured with watercolours and stickles, added glitter to the wings too.
The oval frame has been embossed with my CB and a square of snowflake vellum is behind it. Charm, snowflake, buttons and flowers are all from my stash.

Blooming Marvelous!!

A Spoonfull of Sugar this week want us to use flowers in our cards.
I made a "Z" card design for a change! using A Penny Black sticker layered onto card stock.
The pink paper on the left is Anna Griffin but the inside paper I cannot for the life of me remember who it is by..
I stamped snowflakes onto the pink paper and drizzled some silver embossing powder over parts and heat embossed.
I die cut a label using my Nestie and cut in half and attached lace with staples, the other half is layered under the image.
Prima Flowers and brads from stash to finish.

A Spoonfull of Bling!!!

Sparkle and Bling is the theme this week at A Spoonfull of Sugar.

Well my Nan is 85 on Saturday so I made this card for her. She likes a bit of sparkle - Bless! It's not my usual style (well if I have a style really - LOL!!).

I made a gatefold card - haven't made one for ages and I forgot how nice it is to make one.I added flourishes with Versa Fine ink and added little gems to them.
The flower is stamped onto this gorgeous vellum (only had a wee piece left) and embossed in gold then cut out. I layered it onto a gold doily and die cut circle

The inside is full of Nan things!!! - little die cut flower sticker and prima flowers.

A Spoonfull of Sugar

Pink and Green is the theme at A Spoonful of Sugar. I love pink and green together especially the softer shades, I dug out this stamp which I have had for ages and I think have used perhaps twice, I was in a floaty, frilly dress mood - EEK!! not like me at all!! the stamp is inked with a few chalk eyes and embossed with clear powder.

Papers are Basic Grey and cardstock is Bazzill, I used the Cuttlebug flower embossing folder on the pink squares and inked the edges again with chalk eye.

Flowers are Prima and I added little plastic flowers with brads.
