Morning Folks!!

Well another gorgeous day here but still breezy, the bay is certainly not dead calm...

just a couple of things before I head off for work - Grrr!! This Saturday working malarkey isn't great I can tell ya.

Firstly I got this lovely award form the lovely Nilla in Malaysia - thanks so much Nilla for thinking of me...

and then I just have to tell you about this wonderful talented lady whom I met whilst blog hopping one day. Her name is Kyoko and we both have a love of cats but also Kyoko makes the most gorgeous knitted and sewn creations. Her knitted purses are amazing as is her photos of her two furries Kumo and Wata who unfortunately has a form of nasal cancer but he is doing so well, they are two beauties..anyway Kyoko has started a Feline Friday spot on her blog where she introduces some other bloggers and their cats too. So for all you moggy lovers out there, go check out Kyoko's blog "Cotton and Cloud".

My two furries will be making an appearance real soon!!

Won't have time for any cards today either as I start work at 12 and tonight I am off out on the tiles with some friends. Wheee!! Not like me but it's that summer feelin'. We are going for a meal then off to hit the highlights or lowlights !!! Tee Hee!!

Something Completely Different

Morning Folks!! Wheee it is really sunny but just as I predicted bloomin' windy and a tad chilly that sea breeze gets us every time!!! Grrr!

So on to our challenge this week at Something Completely Different. We are still in Twinchie mode (2" x 2") and our theme this week is BIRDS, what with all those cute birdie stamps around it is so easy to fill up your two inch square space.

We had a great response last week and would love to see you join us again..and if you haven't tried a Twinchie or maybe think och! it's not for me, do give it a go because they are quite addictive and so quick to make, they can be in any style you want too.

This is our last Twinchie week so next week we will have a new creation for you to make..

Cute Card Thursday..

This is a late posting , I have such a lot on just now and have been a bad blogger too. Hoping to visit my bloggy buddies this weekend and catch up with y'all!!

Cute Card Thursday this week is all about Bling so I have just finished my card using some cute decoupage and my new stamps from Inkadinkado, I love their stamps.

Well it's supposed to be hot, hot, hot tomorrow so we'll see! We just get too much of the sea breeze being on the coast then we get fog if it's been hot in the day....

Truly Scrumptious - Challenge 8

Morninnnnng!!! and a rather dull, cool and grey one it is too... Hope it's brighter where you are..

Now on to this week's challenge over at Truly Scrumptious, which is to make a card with more than one fold and because of all the options available we don't have a sketch this week so the sky's the limit folks!!!

For my card this week I used Kanban papers and Chris's "The Shoe" image and her new "Her Handbag" image. I must say they are an absolute joy to colour and I used watercolours.

Passion for Pro Markers - Week 1

This is the new Pro Marker Challenge and this week we can have free reign to use our Pro Boys!!! LOL.

Now I took a bit of time to get to like my Pro Boys but they have grown on me to such an extent that I own far toooo much of them already. They are bursting out of their box!!!

I have coloured this cutie Ellie with:

Ice Grey 1, Ice Grey 4, Cool Grey 2, Pastel Green, Turquoise, Pastel Blue, Coral, Rose Pink, Cornflower, Pastel Pink, Burnt Sienna, Cinnamon - Whew, those frills took a bit of colouring!!!

Forever Friends - Buttons and Bows..

Me!!! Back again!! Must be on a crafty roll today!! The weather has changed drastically - pouring with rain and getting dark already. I even have my heating on again!! EEK!! Needless to say the Furries are happy glued to the radiators..!!

So on to Forever Friends Challenge where the theme is buttons and bows.

Two Cards for The Craft Barn

Had a busy day today, went to visit my parents in the morning, squeezed in my weekly shop and some more cleaning then I sat down to get my cards done for The Craft Barn Blog.

I used Sandra Dry's "Squaw" stamp and "Stepping Stones". they are both so cute and look at the wee papoose!! I hand drew the "Tepee"!! and added some cocktail sticks at the top, both images are coloured with Pro Markers and I added some stickles to the Stepping Stones card.

Colour Create

Well after a whole day cleaning the fur pit at last I sat down to relax and make a card for Colour Create.

The colours this week are Lemon, Pink Sorbet and Chocolate - dreamy combination.....

Something Completely Different - Week 2

Morning!! and what a lovely sunny one it is too AND we have some warmth!!!

Today it's all about Celebrating over at A Spoonful of Sugar - It's their first birthday - How great is that!!

I got these gorgeous Crafty Individual Stamps today from their new releases.

Boy they are so lovely and those guys provide the best customer service...They sent some freebie stamps too.. Whee!!

House Mouse Monday - Sketch

Time for my Mousies to get another airing - House Mouse Challenge has a great sketch this week.

I have used this gorgeous image called "Make A Wish" with the cuties Amanda and Monica .

The mousies are coloured with watercolours..

Busy... Busy... Busy...

Mondays are my day off but I have no idea where the day has gone - it's already 4pm and hardly a floor cleaned!!! YIKES!!

I took a run out to the nearest craft shop and ooh! they had some yummy stuff but I was really good and only spent £15.00 - Now don't all fall in a heap... but I did get £5.00 with my loyalty card so that was a nice surprise..

I did get a Bazzil Splat Mat in the mail today - Ooh it's great - NON StICK with capital letters!!

Crafty Pad Challenge - 22

Afternoon lovelies!!

What a lovely sunny day today which fits in perfectly with our challenge this week at The Crafty Pad - "The Sun is Shining"..... We want to see suns, shiny stuff anything sunny or shiny!!! LOL

This week we have the lovely Pascale as Guest Designer and she has made a fantastic necklace - so do hop over and check out all the other DT gorgeous creations.

Well for me it seems like ages since I made a Tag so it had to be done!! I used one of Debbie's butterfly images which I coloured with Sakuras and glitter.

I stamped some "suns" and cut them out. I love that stamp but for the life of me cannot remember where I got it..

I used paper from Crafty Individuals and added cute little clips.

I am sitting here watching the Two Furries play fighting, well it starts off as play fighting then it gets SERIOUS!!

They are soo funny up on their hind legs and those paws shoot out and clip each other real good... sometimes I have to break it up when one gets on top of the other and then hissing and squealing occurs!!!! Sisterly love!!!!

....And Now For "Something Completely Different"........

Morning!!!!

Well today is our first challenge on "Something Completely Different" and for me it has been great getting messy with acrylics and collage again. It seemed like ages since I had done any of that... We have a wee prize up for grabs too, the winner will be selected randomly next week!

So we hope you will try something different with our challenges. There will be a set creation for the month but a different theme each week.

This month we are in the wonderful world of "Twinchies" - which are 2 inch square and can be decorated any way you like. You can even add them to your cards as a topper.

The theme this week is "WINGS"!!

I have used acrylics, cosmic shimmers and some spray paint for the background, my cute 'lil angel is from a collage sheet. I stamped a border round part of the edge, added some German Scrap flowers and a small label to finish.

We would love you to pop over and have a go, even if you've never done a Twinchie don't worry - Just go For It!!!

Twinchies are just so quick to make and brilliant for using up bits and bobs of stash.

You're only limited by your imagination..........

Well this is my last week as Guest Designer on Cute Card Thursday - Thanks to Deb and the lovely ladies over there for having me!!!

Another lovely day up here, pity I had to work though but as my auld granny used to say - " The sun doesn't pay the bills!!!" - LOL!

I've had a go at A Spoon Full of Sugar - Buttons Galore this week - I love using buttons and I have used some more decoupage - boy! there are some great sheets out there nowadays..

The paper is a freebie - AGAIN!!! I'm turning in to the Freebie Queen!!! Tee Hee!!

I also found this adorable challenge called Courtney's Closet - each week the challenge is based around Libby's daughter Courtney and what she is wearing... You have to make the card using some or all of the colours in her outfit!!

Forever Friends Sketch

What a lovely day it's been today and it was my day off too!!!!

Met some former colleagues for lunch and a good old chin wag - it was great to see them again...

I have been neglecting my little
Forever Friends Bears lately so decided to have a go at the FF Challenge sketch this week .

I bought a craft mag today and it had some great good quality free papers - what is it with these freebies just now they just keep falling in to my lap!!!

Colour Create

This week over at Colour Create it's one of my fav colour combos Blue and Green - there is just so much you can do with these gorgeous colours .

The card stock, flower (which I had to build up) and paper are from Anna Griffin. I added a little metal flower to the centre, some corrugated card and punched circles.

It's a happy happy theme this week - Make a card to cheer someone up or make their day - No hard task as we all can do with a bit of cheering up now and then.

Have any of you heard of Post Pals well CCT received this E-mail from Vikki.

Here are the details:

I run Post Pals, we feature seriously ill children (most have cancer or are going through transplants) and their siblings on our website www.postpals.co.uk and invite members of the public to log on from around the world and send a card to a child. The aim is to make the child smile, but we have found it also helps their self esteem and parents often open them with a child during a procedure to distract them.
At the moment we are helping 120 children but they aren't getting much post.
I was wondering if you would do a challenge, instead of people just scanning in their card for the theme but they actually make one for a Post Pal child and send it off.
I can't begin to tell you how much receiving a card means when your ill and isolated.

What an absolutely brilliant cause, how great to be able to make any of these children smile even for just a minute..

House Mouse Monday

Another Monday and that means more House Mouse - The theme this week is to make a Gatefold card.

I used the Poppin' Good Birthday image featuring the two rascals Mudpie and Muzzy and coloured them with watercolours - I also added some Glitter Jewels to the cake. They are just so cute!
