Papertake Weekly Challenge

So I sat down to watch the Dog Whisperer and have hardly moved my butt off the chair..BUT I had a wee look at the Papertake Weekly sketch and that moved me so here is what I came up with.. the image I bought yesterday on my crafty forage with Kath. It's a Sugar Nellie called Bunny - How cute is she (My lost Sugar Nellie never turned up...), coloured her with Pro Markers..

Morning!!! Boy the weather has changed today - lot cooler, dull and grey...

Now there is a special birthday boy celebrating his third birthday - The Golden Delicious Furry Buddy is 3 today..

so Buddy has come up with some furry bloggy candy and here is my card I made for him, that dog would melt snow on the ice caps with those big brown eyes, I can tell ya!!

Evening folks!!

Well what a great day I had today visiting Kath, the sun was shining and it was so hot - We started off at Kath's , greeted by the most sweetest, cuddly wuddly bunch of furriness ever - The Budster, so after lots of furry cuddles  and a wee walk "The Cubbyhole "beckoned and folks it is bulging with crafty goodness and the most gorgeous cards - my head was spinnning... we then headed off for Alford and I've now come to the conclusion I need a splint for my tongue!!! ROFL We chatted and laughed like there was no tomorrow. Got some  yummy lunch - Thank You Kath!!

Arrived at Simply Create and wowzer what a beautiful, modern shop full to the brim with all the latest crafty gorjussness... I bagged a Martha Stewart Punch - DawnyP can now breathe a sigh of relief as it is the scalloped one!!! LOL.

Off on my Travels.....

Wheeee!! Tomorrow I am heading off to Chez Kath - Yes that's right I am going to visit the one and only Kath.... At last, after talking on the phone we are meeting up tomorrow - Can you imagine folks - ME in the Cubbyhole with the furry bundle that is the Budster... Eeeh I can't wait!!!

Then we are off to the new craft shop in Alford not too far from Kath. Oh dear two mad crafters in one shop together - I fear the worst - mmmm! might have to remortgage the house!!!! ROFL!

.....And it's Buddy's birthday on Tuesday so he has taken it upon himself to organise some of his mum's stash for some Furry Bloggy Candy so head on over to Kath's to see what Buddy has got up his paws....

I'm taking my card with me and giving it to the Golden Delicious One myself!!!!

Polka Doodles Challenge

So this is my first time entering the Polka Doodle Challenge, I liked the sketch this week so thought I'd have a go.. there are some rules though...

You have to colour an image yourself - this can either be a stamped image or a topper, any image, and you can use whatever you like to colour but you cannot use fabric ribbons, you must use a paper ribbon instead.

My image is coloured with watercolours, stickles and glitter..

Truly Scrumptious - Challenge 10

Morning Folks!! Where has the sun gone - can't see the bay for fog today, a lot cooler too.

We have a great new sketch this week from Sharon..... AND Crafty Indivuduals are back to sponsor us again with some great stamps...

Our extra little challenge this week is to use your "neglected stash" and boy I bet we have loads of that... I know I certainly do.

So for my card I had a 6x6 Dovecraft pad and some Fancy Pants paper lurking around!!! I also dug out this Whipper Snapper Teddy which I got from my lovely friend Lim. I used Pro Markers to colour him. The sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe.

I received my new kit from The Craft Barn and made this great Summer Tag  for The Craft Barn Blog. the Tag is ideal for a fun summer birthday present. The stamp is by Sandra Dry and is one of her Bikini Babes. She is coloured with Pro Markers.

I received this lovely award from  the talented Juliet who makes the most gorgeous stuff from jewellery to felt dogs and keyrings, if you haven't visited Juliet pop over and see her work.

Something Completely Different - Week 5

Morning Folks from a dull, grey north east Scotland!!

The furries are in the bad books today - Got up this morning only to find they had sniffed out some cold meat that had been in the haaauuuge black rubbish bag waiting to go down to the bin and very neatly and cleanly had pawed out a wee hole, slipped their naughty paws in and very cleanly pulled out the said cold meat and gobbled it all up!!! Grrr!! They are amazing, there was hardly any mess - it was so cleanly done and they pinpointed the exact spot - it's like a cold meat military operation - LOL

Anway enough babble already!!

On to this weeks challenge at SCD - We are still on the TAGS and our theme this week is HOME - Kath is still with us as Guest Designer although she is actually not with us as she is sunning herself in The Hague!!! Lucky Lady...

Design House Papercraft

I recently got the chance to make some cards for Design House Papercraft - They sent me some really lovely decoupage and twisted pyramid sets  to work with and I even had a go at a Waterfall Card (which I hadn't done in years) using their new Water's Edge range and of course the cute teddy decoupage.

A Spoonful of Sugar - Challenge 56

Well I have given up on my new Sugar Nellie Stamp it has Vanished into thin air and I am pig sick !!! Grrr!!

Anyway made a card for A Spoonful of Sugar and they have a great sketch by Michelle this week, and if you haven't stopped by Michelle's blog then please do she makes the most gorgeous cards and has fantastic photos of their donkeys and the most adorable doggie ever Libby!

I used some gorgeous decoupage vintage bottles and paper which I bought from my nearest craft shop.

House Mouse Monday and a RANT!!!

Afternoon lovely peeps!

Boy what a bloomin' morning I've had, I reorganised my tiny stash space yesterday, which took ages by the way!! so today off I goes to get my new Sugar Nellie Stamp - GONE!! NOT THERE!! LOST!! I have spent most of the morning unorganising the organising ROFL!! (I shouldn't be ROFL but what else can I do) - My NEW stamp has vanished, looks like it ran off after the swirl stamp that also magically disappeared months ago, so down I go to the rubbish bin - yup got the black bag back upstairs and even went through that - NADA, NOWT!! AAAAGH!!

......THEN I spilt a pot of embossing powder over my carpet - the WHOLE pot, but there's more - Peaches ran off with my ribbons I had thrown on the floor in disgust and she knows to run under the bed and to go to the back, honestly I thought I was going to burst a blood vessel, the only option was to turn the hoover on to get her out (she is terrified of it!!) sure enough off she ran leaving the ribbons half chewed...

I need a lie down in a darkened room - BREATHE!!! Sorry RANT OVER!!

I did make a card for House Mouse Challenge though. The theme this week is Neapolitan..

Winter Wonderland - Week 3

Well I was in the spare room today doing a bit of cleaning and there was my Xmas Stash staring back at me, so I figured it was time to get the snowflakes and tree stamps out and have a play - It can never be too soon to start on the cards so after a distinct lack of mojo these last few days, I thought I'd enter the Winter Wonderland Challenge - "Let It Snow" for the first time and I really enjoyed making something different.

So here is my black and white effort with quite a simple card for starters!!

Truly Scrumptious - Challenge 9

This week on Truly Scrumptious we have a great sketch by our lovely Beth AND we are sponsored by Whiff of Joy Stamps and you could win this gorgeous Shy Willow stamp. Whiff of Joy Stamps have a great new release coming on the 14th June - a Wedding & Baby Collection designed by Elisabeth Bell, so that is something to watch out for. The additional little challenge is to add altered flowers to your card. So change up those blooms ladies!!

Simon Says Stamp Challenge

Morning folks - sunny and bright again - just what we need to lift the spirits!!

This is my first time entering the Simon Says Stamp Challenge challenge after finding out about it from a lovely bloggy bud..

Now the theme is Tim Holtz Inspired and there is a fantastic prize up for grabs, non other than a SIGNED piece of Tim Holtz artwork - Wheee!!

So out came all the TH products, and my Tag was born!!! LOl

I used a TH stamp Como 17 - Blackbird, Distress Inks in Fired Brick, Faded Jeans and Black Soot, the sentiment is Rhonna Farrer and I used VErsafine ink to stamp it. I embossed the right hand side of the tag in a diamond shape. Added TH spinners and sprockets. It turned out quite a dark atmospheric tag although it looks a lot lighter in the photo..

So my morning's work is done - Off to work now - Double Grrrrr!!!

House Mouse Colour Challenge

I have been a bit absent lately in the card making front, missing mojo syndrome so just had a wee break until I was checking out all the Monday challenges and got totally hooked on the gorgeous DT cards over at House Mouse Challenge - I knew those Mousies would get me!!!!

It's a colour theme this week of RED, WHITE and BLUE, now my stamp is really an Easter one but just pretend it's a chocolate egg shaped sweet in fancy wrapping!!! LOL

The Mousie in question is Monica and she is coloured with watercolours. I embossed the side of the card with my cuttlebug and used oval nesties to cut the card and paper. I added dew drops to the embossing and prima flowers.I even took time to do the inside too...

Cards and My Cards!!!

There is a beautiful new glossy Card Mag on the market called simply "CARDS" and it is just so different from all the other ones out there including the great handbag size. The cards from the designers are just stunning. It's the "Vogue" of the card mags!!!

......And in this month's edition if you look closely you might see some cards you might recognise in the Readers Pages!!! LOL

Here is a sneaky peek of next issue's cover due out on the 25th June. I for one can't wait to get my crafty paws on it!!!

Something Completely Different - Week 4

Morning Crafty Ones!!!  and it's quite a fine one too AND it's Fridaaaaaayyy!!!

Well ....... Did you watch Big Brother last night ..... Why oh! Why can't I help myself watch it!!!! Another bunch of social misfits to entertain us although last year I showed some restraint and didn't watch it after the first show so we'll see....Shaved eyebrows and marker pens on the loose already - Uuugh!! God Help Us!!! LOL.

Anyway enough babble - on to this weeks challenge at SCD. Now this month our crafty creation is TAGS - Wheeeee I get to make my beloved ones again!!!

Our theme this week is STARS AND STRIPES and we are joined by the one and only KATH as Guest Designer for the month - Yaaaay!!

The Craft Barn Extravaganza Weekend

Well the weather has changed already - cloudy and a lot colder today..

Just have to tell you about the Extravaganza that The Craft Barn, Lingfield have got going on this weekend.

They are gonna have 19 yup!! 19 demonstrators this weekend and Julie Hickey from Craftwork Cards will be there on Saturday only. All demonstrations are free too.

There will be new stamps  released this weekend too from Christine Dark, Sandra Dry and Carol Cockbain and they will all be there demo-ing away!!

Passion For Pro Markers - Week 2

The two colours we have to use this week over at PFPM are Apple Green and Pastel Pink...

I used the cute Pink Petticoat download, Basic Grey papers and Nesties..

The weather is still great AND I had no work today so went a bit mental and cleaned out my clothes - So four bags later I was heading for the Cancer Charity Shop, my wardrobe has taken a real hit this time!!! LOL BUT I feel much better for it...
