I dug out my gorgeous Goddes Stamp inked with Versafine and adding a touch of colour to her face with watercolours - tore and distressed the edges of the image, card and layers. I pierced holes randomly around the card and added tiny flowers.

Added two pieces of corrugated card and tiny punched flowers, finally I found these lovely paper flowers which I had forgotten about ....

I have made a baby card using Denise Lynn's sketch - I am really loving using sketches just now.

I used this cutey House Mouse Stamp - Baby Hopper! coloured with watercolours - I have added some glitter but it doesn't show up in the photo - so sunny today! The DP is from Anna Griffin and Chatterbox and I found this stunning satin ribbon in my local craft shop and bought loads!! I love it!! My sentiment is a rub on layered onto cardstock.
I added dew drops and gems to finish.

Got this strange letter today addressed only with my address - opened it up and it's from some Channel 4 production company asking for people who live in Love Lanes (which I do) to come forward if they have a love story to tell !!!!! They are going to be making a programme - Now what do you think should I spill the beans or not???!!! LOL. Think NOT!!! They have obviously sent out letters all over the UK to people that live in a Love Lane hoping someone will get back to them!!

I could just imagine my mum's face when that was aired - I often say to myself when these programmes come on TV - Where do they get these people from - Now I know - funny letters in the post!!!! - Mmmm wonder how much they pay??? ROFL!

My second card for Kadoodle Stamps..

I had a nice play around yesterday with the brilliant stamp designed by Christine Dark for Kadoodle Stamps. Such a fun stamp to use, the stamps are available exclusively at The Craft Barn and you can also see the rest of the gorgeous DT cards on the Kadoodle Stamps Blog too, and remember there is always some great Blog Candy up for grabs so check out the blog and see if you can win some!
This stamp is James and boy is he having fun!!, the paper is from We R Memory Keepers and is also available at The Craft Barn.

I punched a hole at the top of the paper and set some eyelets then threaded through some fibre cris crossing it over. I then punched two circles and arranged them with James sitting on top.

James is coloured with watercolours and cosmics and then cut out using my craft knife. I added some Dew Drops and buttons. The sentiment is rub ons and cut into strips then attached roughly with staples.

Two Lovely Surprises..........

Morning everyone - Well I knew it - The weather is back to it's wet and wild self again, such a storm up here. I actually went to bed quite early last night around 12.30am LOL which is quite early for me since I stopped working, I slept like a log - must be the new memory foam mattress I bought last week, takes a bit of getting used to but I think I am getting a better sleep, not sure if it really is helping my lower back though....
Anyway enough of my sleeping habits and on to more important things!
The Postie delivered another package yesterday all the way from Norway.

Card from Hanne

My sweet, talented friend Hanne sent me some amazing goodies - Oooh I love them, flowers from Papirloftet and stamps from Making Memories, gorgeous buttons and charms - I am so lucky having such wonderful friends, now if you have never visited Hanne, boy are you missing out - her cards and creations are just so beautiful - take a look at the card she sent me too -

I recently did an ATC swap with my lovely SBS Sister Jo, here is what she sent me - isn't it just gorgeous, I love it and that pin I can tell you is so beautiful, my mum was admiring it yesterday too.

Thanks so much for thinking of me - you are a little sweetie.

One Card - Two Challenges!

Good morning from a sunny Scotland (for a change!!) - It's bright and the bay looks gorgeous today....I'm up early despite my night out last night, I had such a good time and the food and company was excellent! The little Zoe was just amazing such a contented baby, she giggled all night then fell asleep in her car seat , she was the belle of the ball!!!

So today's sketch on Sketch Saturday is another great one - I just love doing sketches just now..

Then Penny Black Challenge we have to use a frame.

I cut my frame with my Nesties Label Die then embossed it with the Swiss Dots Folder and added little rose buds.

My wee mouse is coloured with watercolours, the card stock is Bazzill and Core'dinations and the flowers are prima, I punched small circles and distressed the edges for the flower centres. The scallop border is from Bazzill Just the Edge, the flowery paper is from Fancy Pants.

I'm going to work on my next Kadoodle Stamps card, so hopefully will be back later with that!

Burns Night......

Well it's Burns night on Sunday - a celebration of the life and poetic verse of Robert "Rabbie" Burns who died in 1796 in poverty at the young age of 37.

The first gatherings to celebrate the life and works of Robert Burns were held by a group of his friends on the anniversary of his death on 21 July. In the early 1800s the first Burns Clubs were set up with Burns Night celebrations the focus of their year.

So tonight the men are off to the very formal Burns Supper here in town which is actually a club and the event is held every year by invitation only.

The ladies (us) my mum and lots of our friends are off out to have a meal and enjoy each others company.
I am really looking forward to it as my friend Alison is coming up from Edinburgh - her dad and husband are going to the Burns Supper. She is taking her new baby with her and I can't wait to see the gorgeous Zoe.

I leave you with a wee excerpt (for those of you who can understand it!!! LOL) of the famous poem by Rabbie Burns "To A Mouse":

Wee sleekit, cow'rin, tim'rous beastie,
O, what a panic's in thy breastie!
Thou need na start awa sae hasty,
Wi bickering brattle!
I wad be laith to rin an chase thee,
Wi murdering pattle!

But Mousie, thou art no thy lane,
In proving foresight may be vain:
The best-laid schemes o mice an men
Gang aft agley,
An lea'e us nought but grief an pain,
For promis'd joy!............................

See you all tomorrow!!!

Oh! My Giddy Aunt - Look what I Have Won.......

Well my buzzer went a half hour ago and there was the delivery driver with a huge box for ME!!
For me I said - I haven't ordered anything that size lately.....
So in comes the box and I'm hacking away at it trying to get it open - like you do! and there in all it's glory is the fabby PINK V2.0 Bind It All with tools.
I have won a Trimcraft Giveaway!!!!! Yaaaaay!!!

Friday Sketchers Challenge

Another great sketch this week from Beatrix for Friday Sketchers.

I used background paper from my stash and stamped the branches onto the oval frame with Versafine Ink added little gems to the stems, I found this buckle lurking in my stash and thought it was perfect for this card, took a bit of manouevering to get it to sit right though..

I then added glass beads and my sentiments to finish.

Tag You're It Challenge - NUMBERS...

Well it's Friday again, boy! does it come round fast when you're not working!!! LOL ...... AND that means "TAGS" so our challenge this week is set by my talented teamie Carol, who has chosen Numbers as our theme.

So we want to see anything with a number(s) on your tags, looking forward to visiting everyone again to see what you have all come up with... I love that bit!!!

Well my tag this week is hand drawn (again!! Yawn!!) and covered with free paper I got with a craft magazine, and simply added the flowers, letters and the leaves were punched with my Leone Em punch. I stamped the cute little chickie onto some pink paper and paper pieced his tum!!!

Hope you have time to squeeze in a tag this week and have a great weekend too!
